CHARISMA

“You’re fidgeting.”

I blinked at Blaze’s words, tilting my chin far back to try to look at him. I was lying on the couch, using one of its arms as a pillow, and since Blaze had just come from behind me, that meant I had to go all Spiderman to be able to see him.

Even upside-down, Blaze was hot.

“Huh?”

He shook his head, smiling, and walked closer until he grabbed my phone from my hands. The same phone I’d been spinning like an expensive, oversized fidget spinner while I spaced out on the couch.

Oops?

“I’m not fidgeting,” I lied blatantly, raising my hands to grab my phone back, but Blaze stepped out of reach. Damn him. “I’m just … ” I tried to come up with a good excuse, and my brain latched onto the one thing that could explain any and all weirdness. “Doing a scientific experiment.”

Blaze’s chuckle called to my very soul, warming me up inside. Blaze was good looking, there was no denying that. But when he laughed or he smiled? He was breathtaking.

And mine. Completely and utterly mine. I’d licked him all over to make sure of it. Those were them rules.

“Why are you so nervous?” he asked, coming around the couch–thank fuck, because my neck was starting to hurt from the awkward angle–and standing in front of the TV.

“Is this about Theo or your date with Logan?”

Both? Both. Both was good. Both was the answer I wanted to give Blaze, but …

I sighed, staring into his pretty mossy green eyes. Already, Blaze knew me too damn well. Which wasn’t a problem, really. I was damn lucky to have him in my life, loving me as much as I loved him, but …

I bit my bottom lip. “It’s not … I’m not nervous, exactly,” I admitted, trying to organize my inner turmoil in a way that made sense. “More like … anxiously excited? I’m looking forward to this date with Logan. Goddess, this feels weird to say out loud, especially to you.” Blaze had surprised me time and time again, and when I’d told the three of them Logan had asked me on a proper date, I thought he’d balk at the idea or be against it. But Blaze had been surprisingly okay with it. I’d known all three of them had eavesdropped on Logan’s admission that he wanted to date me properly and see where things went, but I’d been worried Blaze would be against that. His reaction to the mere idea of the stranger my parents had wanted to force me to marry was proof of how jealous he could get.

It was confusing as hell.

This whole multiple relationships thing was pretty damn great in theory—and in real life, too, not going to lie—but trying to navigate everyone’s feelings and knowing where the lines were drawn was pretty freaking hard.

Not that I was complaining. I wouldn’t dare complain. I was the one having all the benefits here, so zero complaints from me.

“Char, it’s okay,” Blaze said soothingly. He
